Currently the Head of Academics and Learning at Hero Vired, Dipyaman Sanyal is an educator who has been successfully traversing the world of academia and industry for over fifteen years.
Deep spent most of his corporate life in the financial markets in New York as a quant and analyst for companies like Dow Jones Indexes, The Blackstone Group, Sorin Capital, and Thomson Reuters, and co-founded dōnō consulting in 2012. At dōnō, Deep and his team create data science frameworks, implement statistical and machine learning algorithms, build financial models and reports, and work in the forefront of AI-driven-decision making, working for private equity and hedge funds, market research and consulting firms, traditional industries, non-profits, and government agencies. For his work at dōnō consulting, he was presented with the “40-under-40 in Data Science in India” award. Deep is also actively involved in the fintech and proptech start-up space. He is a co-founder of the proptech firm, PropMath, which has created India’s first ML-AI driven automated investment scoring system and automated rental models for real estate.
As an academic and teacher, Deep has been honored as one of the “Leading Data Science Academicians in India” (2017 and 2018). He is also an Adjunct Faculty at Northwestern University, Chicago where he teaches at the globally renowned MS in Data Science (MSDS) program. In the past decade he has led three of the top-ranked post-graduate data science programs in India, including the PGPDM (University of Chicago and Jigsaw Academy), PBA (Northwestern University and Bridge SoM) and at IMT Ghaziabad (MBA-Analytics). Deep has also taught data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence and data driven decision making to corporate technologists, consultants, leaders and managers across the world and across verticals.
A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder and Commonwealth Scholar, Deep has a MS in Applied Economics from University of Texas, Dallas, a MA and BA in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and submitted his PhD in Economics at Jawaharlal Nehru University.
